Following an Adult Education discussion of God’s creation and our charge to be stewards of the planet, the ETF formed in 2007 to explore ways in which St. Andrew’s can contribute.

• Our goal is to learn more about global climate change, water quality issues, and sustainable, renewable energy systems.

• We participated in Luther College’s “Greening of the Church” program

• Future affiliation with Iowa Interfaith Power & Light (IIP&L) , “a joint initiative of the Muslim, Christian, Jewish and other faith communities to mitigate global climate change in order to protect God’s sacred creation and safeguard public health.” IIP&L helps individual congregations reduce fossil fuel use, improve energy efficiency, and reduce overall energy use.
